I kind of agree but it’s also in their nature for obedience to authority to appeal to Right Wingers. Maybe they won’t have the same cult like devotion but I doubt they’ll simply “jump ship”
I generally agree, but for a lot of them it won’t be an instant change. They’ll think they are now political followers, and some of them will be. But most will just get bored with politics as usual, even when it’s an authoritarian takeover of their nation.
They were into politics because they think Trump is funny and entertaining. Nobody else following him has that charisma. They’re going to get bored defending Vance and the rest of the jackals, and either fall away, or worse, start to realize that these guys are evil, and get hostile. Nobody else has the Teflon armor that Trump has.
