Aside from the 7 minute fistfight that could’ve been a conversation.

Yeah, it could have been a conversation, but its still one of the best movie fights, haha

All my IT-illiterate peers when I try to explain algorithms to them.

Particularly annoying because most are on the All Natural train, yet get all their cough knowledge cough from WA and FB.

A YouTuber once said that she doesn’t believe in the algorithm but in good titles people click on. Like, you don’t believe that whether or not a video appears on one’s page is at least a factor in their decision to click on it?

“I don’t believe the algorithm is real, man. It’s just a concept, and concepts are just ideas, and ideas aren’t THINGS…”

Free will is stronger than social engineering but it’s a harder path. Let’s not pretend that advertisers can make most of us jump around like monkeys.

All I can say is that nonconformism is a defining factor of my life and I certainly don’t respond to ads consciously, but I’m not immune. None of us are.

Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.

The rules are simple:

  • The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author’s website, for instance).
  • The comic must be a complete story.
  • If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
  • You may post comics from others or your own.
  • If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
  • The comic can be in any language, but if it’s not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post’s ‘body’ field (note: you don’t need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
  • Politeness.
  • AI-generated comics aren’t allowed.
  • Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.
