They were picked to vote this way beause their seats are either not up for election next year or they’re retiring. Schumer masterminded this but voted no himself in a form of fake resistance. We have to punish more than just this list or nothing changes. It’s a big setup and they’re trying to play us for fools.

      Schumer masterminded this

      Bruh…

Schumer isn’t a “mastermind” anymore than trump is. I’m not defending him, I’m saying he’s too stupid and ineffective for your theory.

Him and other neoliberal “leadership” were just middlemen between a corrupt DNC and elected Dem politicians. If people didn’t vote how the corrupt DNC wanted, then they cut off funding to the whole state party.

      They “led” like terrorists.

Tim Kaine was one of those shitty corrupt DNC chairs, and got paid back by being one of Hillary’s VP picks.

If anyone masterminded this, it was him. He’s a bigger problem then any household name in the Dem party. And is 100% ok letting republicans win general elections to prevent progressives from getting in office. He’d 100% sabotage the party/movement to stop progressives from gaining ground.

Yeah. Let’s be clear here, Schumer leads like an Applebee’s store manager: He gets point-by-point instructions from corporate. Not a thought required.

Well that’s…a bit conspiracy heavy I suppose.

The other explanation is that they are from states harder hit from the shutdown, and this essentially gets everyone paid right now and sets up this vote from two weeks from now where they can just shut it down again if the GOP doesn’t pony up.

I read that last night. What a fucking tool. I hope someone confronts him on the street so he’s forced to actually see the faces of his constituents.

Only thing we can do is vote in the primaries and make sure we don’t get an establishment dem as a senator.

Not much but it’s the only thing I think we got. I’m so furious.

Democratic Sens. Dick Durbin, Jacky Rosen, John Fetterman and Catherine Cortez Masto. From bottom left: Democratic Sens. Jeanne Shaheen, Maggie Hassan and Tim Kaine, with independent Sen. Angus King.

You can’t, at least not yet. They are all either not on the ballot in the midterms (because their term is longer), or have already announced retirement. They are betting on all this blowing over before they have to ask for votes again.

What I’m hearing is that we need to threaten the rest of the Democrats for failing to whip them.

Yup. While people are outraged at the few token Dem Senators who voted with Republicans those same people are totes OK with all the closed door dealing that got this vote to happen.

Just in time for Senate vacation is just a coincidence and just bad optics.

Republicans follow orders and fall in line. Democrats are supposed to not do that. But they keep doing so. Just like last time when train workers asked for help.

Kaine’s a giant piece of shit, and has been since he was DNC chair, and when he got the payback of being Clinton’s VP pick as payoff for running a corrupt DNC.

All those shitty neolibs aren’t going to stay in office, they only got to office by playing shitty politics. And now they don’t have a corrupt DNC to back them in primaries.

We’re already seeing some “retire”, but I think some are going to Cuomo and essentially become republicans. They never stood for anything except personal power, so they won’t have any qualms changing the letter by their name.

I doubt it perfectly lined up that the only dems that caved were the ones retiring or not up for reelection for 5 years.

All of them are complicit. All of them will need to be replaced. Even the ones that voted no. They can’t be trusted.

Now there is a Christmas surprise of people not being able to afford health care NOR presents for their family for holidays.
