It’s not just a figure of speech to say tech titans are indifferent to humanity. From Peter Thiel to Elon Musk, many are adherents of a worldview that envisions humans being replaced by digital post-humans and sees this as progress.
I was going to say the same thing. But social capitalism does give back to the community, somewhat, and only under/ up to what is stated in the legal obligations. Perhaps ‘unbridled capitalism’ is more appropriate.
I agree with what you’re saying, but I think there is a distinction between capitalism, and capitalists. That is to say, a system where there is profits to be made, but heavily regulated, to better distribute the funds isn’t necessarily evil. But capitalists who’s sole raison d’être, is to make as much as possible while exploiting everything are the issue
