App stores are the worst thing to happen to phone tech. Back in the Nokia days there were no restrictions on installing any app you want as there were no official app stores and that’s how it should be, imagine if Microsoft made it impossible to install apps outside of its windows app store, no would accept that, so why do we accept it for mobiles OS’s

I felt like Apple was going down that route. You have to jump through so many hoops to run programs that aren’t signed by one of their $99/y certificates.
The final drop for me when I was unable to remove Music.app. it’s on a shadowed read-only partition that rebooting updates write to. Extra many hoops to unlock the same to do changes to it (that might make stuff flaky).
Don’t you already deal with enough nonsense? Copilot, higher office prices with AI included, uninstallable edge that begs you to stay as default browser, OneDrive that sends all your personal data to microsoft, telemetry, ads, “Sorry this computer doesn’t support windows 11”, try to prevent work-arounds to use it without microsoft account…

They have already done that twice with Windows RT and Windows 10 S/S Mode.
Yup tried and failed
Oh, that’s coming, just wait and see.
I’ll switch to Linux before dealing with that nonsense

Don’t wait any longer dude, make the switch.
