Yeah when something that was only 99 cents (and still not worth it alone ) is now at least $4 - fuck that.

How are not-poor people even eating there? I was poor… and the moment I could afford better, I never stepped foot into a fast food joint again. I don’t know how they stay in business with those prices.

In the movie Demolition Man, staring Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes, Taco Bell won the “franchise wars” and every restaurant was now Taco Bell. The scene in the movie had Taco Bell looking like an upscale sit-down, with everyone wearing black ties. McDonald’s doesn’t have candle lit tables next to those ball pits.

I can’t speak for other places but I can provide an anecdote for where I live.

We have a major train/subway terminal here and the first two places to open inside the terminal at 6am and the last to close at midnight are both McDonalds. It has a McDonalds and a McCafe literally one floor above the McDonalds. So naturally when are they the most busy? well first thing in the morning and right before close.

So I think most of the time it’s not about the quality of food (or in McDonalds case lack there of) but rather the fact they’re the only option available at a specific moment.

It was Pizza Hut in the EU version. And I’m reminded of that every time I have to redownload it. 😆😆
