I don’t care if you hate it or love it, I just wanna know why you feel the way you do. Bonus points if you want to speak on specific categories you like/dislike.

There’s basically no ethical porn. Even under capitalism. Especially under capitalism.

    However, I like porn.

There are varying degrees of ethical infringements, as morality is not simply binary.

As… Who I am… I have always found finding porn made for me to be difficult. But, I think that process is important, as it helps you be honest with finding who you are and what you like. I think guilt, shame, and fear are incredibly sad. And while life is full of varying things to do, missing out on one’s own sexuality and possibilities of finding bliss and happiness in your sexual prime is an egregiously evil effect of prudism and puritanism. There’s definitely more to life than sexual activities, but… They’re also extremely social, fun, good for you, and critically core to fulfillment and growth in so many ways.

I suppose I don’t enjoy porn as much as I used to. At least I don’t consume it as much as I used to. And that’s not for lack of wanting, it’s just most porn today sucks ass and I would much rather be doing than watching all the popular boring stuff. It’s almost like fomo. Not always, but sometimes you want to DO, not watch, yeah?

Like maybe once you start doing really freaky stuff in real life, your standards go up for stimulation. But at the same time, maybe I have a much better idea what I like and most porn is catering to different people.

Yeah I dunno. It’s just porn. Celebrate being alive as best you can. And don’t hurt other people unless there’s consent >:)

You come right out the gate saying porn cannot be ethical, yet say nothing else to back that. I’m interested in that statement.

There was a model I was head over heels for. Loved her look and all the work she put in on costumes and makeup. Signed up for her OnlyFans for a couple of months to get more pics and see what her videos were like. Can’t think of anything unethical on either of our parts.

(PrincessRosea69 for those that like cute outfits and tiny tits.)

There’s basically no ethical porn. Even under capitalism. Especially under capitalism.

I don’t disagree that the industry is pretty awful in places, but what does this mean? Do you think maybe this is a bit hyperbolic or puritanical?

Hyperbolic in terms of this, consenting adults have been trading, sharing and showing off for each other for a very long time, it happened before the internet and now it’s happening all around you without any money changing hands. Sure there are things like Onlyfans where you could make the argument that the performer is being exploited for their body… but, if you set aside whatever social pearl-clutching we’ve been trained to frame around sexual activity and nudity, how is it any different than wearing your knees down for a company by doing deliveries every day? How is it different than juggling or doing magic tricks at a tourist trap for donations? Yes, you could say it’s all unethical in a capitalistic society, but that’s not the same as singling out porn just because that one deals with “naughty” stuff.

Which is what makes that statement puritanical as well. You’re viewing porn as exploitation of sexuality, like sexuality should be on this pedestal that makes it different somehow than the thousand other ways we sell our bodies, our time, our dignity to survive, as we’ve been doing for tens of thousands of years.

      It’s just porn

I agree, and the more “special” we make it, the worse the problems will be around it. Can you imagine the paradise we would live in if nobody had sexual worries and insecurities and hangups? And think that this belays that maybe you don’t have an ethical framework around porn as much as a personal ambivalence. Which is fine, I just felt the need to dissect the whole statement a little.
