It’s so hilarious to watch I had to post this.

I had thought about that, especially since Army won the toss, and the Army shares a “birthday” with Trump. He would be a petty enough bitch to fix a coin toss because of that.

But I chased down video of the toss, and I don’t think he looked at the coin long enough to acknowledge which side was up. Rather, I think he tossed the coin as if he was tossing it into a fountain. Which is probably how he regards any coin which doesn’t have his picture on it.

(You would think he has seen enough football games to know how the coin toss goes. But keep in mind he is originally from Queens, NY, which is Jets territory. One could forgive him for not bothering to really follow the NFL over the years if the Jets were all he got to watch.)

He owned a USFL team, the New Jersey Generals. Shockingly, he bankrupted the team and is widely viewed as the catalyst for the league folding.

Well, he was the guy that pushed for the USFL to move its schedule from Spring to Fall, which is really what killed it.

That, and the fact that while the USFL technically won their anti-trust suit with the NFL, they were awarded only $1 in damages (although those types of suits award triple damages, so they really won $3!)

Trump was in on the bidding for the Bills when they were up for sale, but NFL owners did everything they could to kill that because of all this history. He says that if he bought the Bills, he probably would have never ran for President. In an alternative universe, the country is not a fascist hellhole and the Bills suck (but have a cheerleading squad “on the younger side”…)

His terrible track record aside, it’s kind of crazy just how many different pies he’s had his fingers in over the years. The guy is like the Forrest Gump of shady business dealings.
