minus-squareneidu3@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up15·4 days agoYeah, looks like that exact segment shifted a little while printing. A typical culprit when it comes to localized adhesion issue is finger prints.
minus-squarenieceandtows@programming.devOPlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up4·4 days agoAh. I wiped it with alcohol before printing, but I guess that doesn’t actually remove the fingerprints.

minus-squareCmdrShepard49@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up4·3 days agoI do both. Ive never had good luck just using dish soap and water alone and still have adhesion issues until wiping with IPA.
minus-squareVeganBtw@piefed.sociallinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up3·3 days agoWhat PattyMcB said, but also, IPA is better applied on a room temp hotbed, because if it’s too hot, the alcohol evaporates too quickly to be efficient.
minus-squarenieceandtows@programming.devOPlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·3 days agoShould I not rub it until it evaporates, but rather just apply a thin film and let it evaporate?
minus-squareBlue_Morpho@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·edit-23 days agoYou definitely want to rub it off and not have it evaporate. Otherwise the oil will settle back onto the plate.
minus-squarenieceandtows@programming.devOPlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·3 days agoAh, I had no idea, thanks
