    A friend bought a 36" CRT TV around 2000,what a heavy beast that was.

    ugh. worked for a visualization lab and stats were really important but I had to move the monitors. I so championed lcds but the crts could do 120 hertz and higher. Luckily resolution was going up with lcds fast. Was so glad when most of the crts were gone but unfortunately some of the largest were last to go. One student kept a rolling chair with a back that broke off from the garbage just as a crt mover.
