Richard Grenell, the Kennedy Center’s chairman, said in a statement on Monday night that the artists canceling shows were “far-left political activists” and that they had been booked by previous leadership. “Boycotting the arts to show you support the arts is a form of derangement syndrome,” he said.

After Mr. Redd canceled the Christmas Eve concert, Mr. Grenell called it “classic intolerance” and threatened a $1 million lawsuit.

These morons are so delusional, it hurts.

They aren’t boycotting the arts, they are boycotting your kowtowing fake arts center. History is history, not what you want to make it out to be. People are voting with their wallets, just like you always wanted!

For sure, because the average MAGA voter doesn’t frequent venues like this as it is. Their popularity is already nil among those that do, clearly.

These assholes keep labeling normal Americans reacting to Donvict and his awful behaviors as “derangement”.

They can go fuck themselves. This idea that everyone else is wrong, but Donvict is right is just Peak Moonbattery. It reeks of the days of the Soviets when they would try to classify any opposition as “insane”.

The NY Times didn’t call it the Trump and Kennedy Center… He’s gonna have another tantrum.

I wonder how long it will take before it occurs to The Kennedy Center board that restoring the sign to what it is legally supposed to say may also restore people’s interest in attending events at The Kennedy Center. But functionally I bet there is a window of opportunity here, as the longer this goes on, the more damage to the reputation of The Kennedy Center will occur. People, performers and audiences will move on to another venue pretty quickly, I suspect.
