California GOP Congressman Doug LaMalfa Dies Suddenly at 65 (1)

California Republican Rep. Doug LaMalfa died at 65 after 13 years in the House, House leaders announced Tuesday, bringing the House GOP majority to 218-213.

A racist, anti-choice, election truther, climate science denialist, Russia stooge, and Trump stan? His family have my sympathies for their loss, but it’s hard to imagine that politics in general isn’t better off without him.

No. Was 220-213 with 2 vacancies.

MTG left - 219-213.

This guy dies - 218-213.

Even if the vacancies get filled with Democrats that’s still 218-215.

So 4 more seats need to change to flip it. 2 Republicans + 2 vacancies.
