But George, surely you’ll still be allowed to own a car. They aren’t going to make that illegal. Of course they won’t, but they didn’t make general computation illegal either. And yet, who has root on the computer you are reading this on?
We’ll own nothing and be happy! Didn’t you get the memo? First, apparently, it will be too expensive to have access to a personal computer, since that allows processing and/or distributing information which might dispute the approved narrative: hence the global hoarding of DRAM by AI companies. Then, travel will be made impractical, so we cannot organize against, relocate or flee our local governments.
It’s late, I’m spit-balling here, but it seems all too real at this point. I wish I were a multi-millionaire with my own private island so I could just avoid what’s going on. :( :(
