These CEOs are largrly the same ones who lobbied to create the ICE we have now in exchange for tax breaks.
CEOs, “Hey your actions are causing us to lose money, let’s figure out how to continue this in a way that doesn’t hurt capitalist profit. See you on Signal or at Mar-a-Lago.”
Glad we at least have an easy list of names to target now.
You can easily see who these businesses actually support online, follow the money.
I bet most of them supported this in the 2024 election.

-Business Leaders!
This strike action can’t be good for them either
Bam! 💣
General strike is working!
Yeah I don’t fucking care what a bunch of CEOs have to say.
You don’t, but elected Republicans do — CEOs like this fund them
Yes I realize that. I guess my point is we shouldn’t respect their opinion. They’re partially responsible for getting us here and they’re just upset Trump isn’t doing fascism the way that makes them money.
You can’t do fascism in a way that makes money on more than a very short-term basis; it’s a system which guarantees stagnation and collapse over a period of years.
This was always the plan. They just weren’t admitting it to themselves.

It’s not just Republicans that rely on corporate funding. All of the right winger politicians do.
They have the ears of the politicians though. Something is threatening to make the line not go up, and that’s upsetting to the capitalists. They would be OK if Trump just killed all the protesters as long as he promised a tax break to offset any economic difficulties during open bloodshed on the streets.
Note to the CEOs:
Which EXACT side of history are you on? What are you willing to do to help… heal this country?
CEOs, all of you, can change everything. You can (somewhat) free yourselves of culpability by abandoning this violent system. End exploitation, support communities, prioritize people. This system cannibalizes us all. Do what it takes to not get eaten.
Set a new standard.
What your people, your state, and your nation need is a new course forward. Not riches. Not power. Not influence. Not dominion. Not any of the colonial values. No more. Abandon those hopes. Build back better.
Care. Not just “Minnesota nice.” Human security for all.
Build. Sustainable, science-based solutions.
Action. Recognize, understand, apply, and create a future that depends on promoting people, not capital.
The next iteration of the American experiment awaits.
The full text of the letter appears below.
The business community in Minnesota prides itself in providing leadership and solving problems to ensure a strong and vibrant state. The recent challenges facing our state have created widespread disruption and tragic loss of life. For the past several weeks, representatives of Minnesota’s business community have been working every day behind the scenes with federal, state and local officials to advance real solutions. These efforts have included close communication with the Governor, the White House, the Vice President and local mayors. There are ways for us to come together to foster progress.
With yesterday’s tragic news, we are calling for an immediate deescalation of tensions and for state, local and federal officials to work together to find real solutions.
We have been working for generations to build a strong and vibrant state here in Minnesota and will do so in the months and years ahead with equal and even greater commitment. In this difficult moment for our community, we call for peace and focused cooperation among local, state and federal leaders to achieve a swift and durable solution that enables families, businesses, our employees, and communities across Minnesota to resume our work to build a bright and prosperous future.
It’s a non stance
It’s a “we’re afraid of them realizing how much the general strike scared us, please don’t let them do it again”
You could read absolutely anything into that statement, it’s so vague.
Nah, the message is “this shit is bad for business, we want the money machine to keep going brrrrr and this is getting in the way”
Yeah, but they’re not identifying which shit it is.
It sounds like they’re saying the shit with ice murdering Minnesotans is bad, but it could also be that the strikes are bad and ice should murder more Minnesotans.
Do they care how it ends, barring the buying not resuming? My money is on not especially, on the whole
I read they’re working behind the scenes with the enforcement arm of the oppressors.
It does more than scare. If enough do it for long enough it’ll work. Pretty rapidly as well.
If it was nationwide they’d 25th amendment Trump faster than he could post about it.
Absolutely.
❌
oh that is rich coming from those that are helping ICE.
