I got very excited seeing this, but just running the software isn’t enough when you have a cricut that is USB only.

I’ve found success using Bottles. I’m trying to remember what, but there was a config I had to set that allowed login to work without any terminal commands. The end result was Design Space working but performance was like 90% degraded, it ran terribly.
