    There seems to be a chunk missing from the middle of this post. And I’m not really sure why people bother to write blogs about such mundane experiences of making a mistake and then fixing it. Maybe someone finds it useful, but there’s nothing much here. If you write inefficient code it will be slow. If you write inefficient code that gets hit millions of times, it will be really slow. Profiling can help you spot the mistake.
