I’ll be walking and all 4 of my cats will lay down right in front and me and roll over merely because they want attention. I have tripped over them a lot but it’s still cute nonetheless.

My girl will very gently scratch our legs to tell us she is hungry. She gets just right amount of claw so that it really hurts, but leaves no trace.

The rambunctious one wants to go in and out, porch to lap regularly, like several times an hr. If I just leave the door open for her to freely come and go as she pleases she will not go out unless I get up and walk to the door with her. The old man will come and rub his one and only tooth on you when he wants affection or is very hungry. The rambunctious one can be a bit of a shoulder cat which I love, except she doesn’t know how to get down without clawing the shit out of me even if im sitting in a chair.

We have a pair of Norwegian forest cats, brother and sister, and when the male wants cuddles there’s almost no stopping him, and those cuddles are called drip drip cuddles because his saliva just starts running while he is rubbing his face all over you and he will do this for 20 to 30 minutes if you let him.

When sitting on the toilet with my pants on my ankles, my cat would crawl into my pants and start his pre sleep wash.

I can’t have the toilet door closed because one of them always has to come in to give me moral support, and if they cant they scratch incessantly.

My silly cat likes to gently bite my ankles when shes hungry, not painful more ticklish, but im still gonna drop hot drinks or a laptop on her one day when im not expecting it.

We have a gang of 3 with occasional visitors. They have been taught to wait in the living room while breakfast is prepared, because being mobbed at 5am is a trip hazard.

Still, the orange insists on at least some form of rebellion, and will wait patiently with one foot distinctly over the line between rooms.

How did you train them to do that? The amount of cat around me during their morning feeding time literally delays the process because they are obstacles!

        Persistence, mostly.

Learning the word ‘in’ and what pointing at the other room/snapping fingers means was the first step. Took a while, but enough picking up/putting down, blocking and gentle scooting got the point home.

After that, get them ‘in’ and start making food on the counter, not direct to bowls on the floor. When a cat crosses the boundary, stop serving up and put them back in either by command or physically. Be belligerent about it if you need to be. Resume/repeat until everyone’s dishes are ready.

When ready, I call the first one in by name and put bowls down. The rest quickly follow.

You may find that the cat with the most bossiness/brains/food drive helps keep the others back on pain of biffing, cause they know intrusion means food delay.

Haha that reminds me of one of my house rules, no begging while I’m making food or I’ll stop and you can wait, and my former cat who just loved food more than anything else was for sure my enforcement.

If the other one made so much as a peep, she’d start wailing on her to shut up.

The little one likes to boop me with her head when I’m getting dressed. And then I have her give her pets for a bit before I can finish.

Our cat Mac has a bedtime. When I’m getting ready for bed, he’ll sit on the edge of the bed, yell at me, and headbutt me. Then he lays in the crux of my abdomen and legs while I’m curled up. Makes it hard to reposition but it’s too cute to disturb.

My little one sprints outside when I come home as soon as the door cracks open enough to fit through. I guess to see what all must have been so exciting that made me be outside of the house. She doesn’t run off. She just looks around the perimeter of the house. I just turn around and pick her up and go inside.
