really? I like my glasses and I think they bring some personality to my face

I’m bamboozled that supporting your kid until he gets a job is not the norm. From where I live, you get support until you can financially support yourself not bury yourself in student loans and debt. That may partially be because of lack of scholarship programs though I still don’t get just leaving your child to debt and make them work to bone for it, even if they’re not in debt making them move out at 18 when they barely know anything is just insane. I think this is mostly a west thing, I don’t see stuff like this in Asia I think IDK. I mean why would you raise a kid and then leave them all to themselves, don’t you want them to start earning and be responsible? Leaving them like that is just not taking accountability. Maybe that’s why divorce rates and relationships between parents is relatively low, again that’s what I think I don’t have any data to back it up but I do know divorce rates are higher in the US than from where I live.
This Wikipedia article and divorce.com Suggest that divorce rates are generally higher in European countries and north America while Asia being relatively lower. I know this is just me going on a tangent, but I think they are related some how.
There’s also Individualism of the west and collectivism of the east. I haven’t read them throughly but BBC and this study explains why this happens, again I think idk I haven’t read them properly.
holy yapping of yaps, I just realised I haven’t read your post 😭😭. Well now that I yapped this much I can’t just delete it.
edit: yeah that’s what every parent should do! It’s really surprising that they leave them to pay their own bills when they don’t even have a job, that sucks, people should change especially in this economy where jobs are limited and poverty is in the rise.
Yeah, but it’s still embarrassing lol just imagine a dude going crazy in his car, I be he would get some looks
I’m not asking you to pay their bills if they’re 30 damn, I’m saying every parent has a responsibility to support them until they can earn. I mean you worked hard for last 20 years so your child could study? why would you not help them until they get a job and then if your child is in a good position he’ll give you a comfortable life in your retirement. What did you work for till your retirement if not for your child. And again from where I live, medical colleges are expensive as fuck and there’s no student support plan atleast properly so parents here take on loans or sell their property for their child. I’m not asking you to do that, I’m telling you to atleast support them until they get a job?
