That was meant to be parody exaggerating the racist shit JD just said and combining it with the racist shit Trump said previously. I didn’t make that clear enough, clearly. This does not reflect my viewpoint whatsoever.

Edit: i didn’t make it clear enough. This is parody combining the racist shit JD just said with the racist shit Trump said previously. In no way does this reflect my actual viewpoint.
You all nag about how Americans have no food culture of their own, that they just steal and adapt other countries’ foods. Then when you see true American creation and innovation, you reel back in fear and disgusting. Cowards!
But a doctor that totally wasn’t paid off says he was literally the healthiest president in the history of America, so…
Can we stop platforming small insignificant bigots just because they say stupid and awful shit and happen to be somehow tangentially related to Trump or the GOP? This is how these psychos get the notoriety that earns them seats in congress where their bigotry actually matters, ala MTG, Boebert, Gaetz, etc. I had never heard of this lady yesterday, and now I’m seeing multiple national news stories about her aggressive bigotry and indecency. Not only was I happier yesterday, but she was also less electable yesterday because this shit, incredibly, unfortunately, sells on the Right. Fucking stop. Just stop it.
I understood that reference.
There is a kernal of validity to your point, but let’s not pretend like those things are at all the same. The difference between copyright violation for personal use and copyright violation for commercialization is many orders of magnitude.
I can’t read the article myself due to the paywall. But presumably these quotes are by the same individual? Why would any Democrat campaign take the advice of someone who has spent decades helping to get Republican presidents elected? Why would he offer his advice to them at all? Certainly not in good faith. And why would he be an expert at what makes a good choice regarding nominees? His campaigns have presumably lost as many as they’ve won and their electorate is motivated by fundamentally different things. And never has there been a situation like this for either party during an election, a former president and convicted felon and current president circling the drain.
I don’t necessarily disagree with the sentiment, but given the source I don’t give the slightest fuck what his view point is on matters of the Democratic Party.
Humor wasn’t the goal. Making apparent the racism of Vance and Trump’s words was. If repeating back the racism someone else used in order to deride them somehow applies that same racist stigma onto me, I would argue that your priorities are misplaced. If I had directly quoted them and cited the quotation would the reaction have been the same? Because it amounts to the same level of disconnect from the words to me. But whatever. Not a hill I care to die on. I’ll delete it. Didn’t mean to upset anyone.
