I think there was a whole thread about people discovering their love for foods that their parents cooked shittily when they were kids. I’ll try to find it.

I once brought my flash drive to show a presentation for my AP English class during the last week of school.

Little did I know my flash drive had a virus on it that propogated through the entire school’s network.

I think even IT came into the room the same day to tell my teacher what had happened.

They did inform me the source was my flash drive.

If I’m being honest, maybe it was a virus/worm from a porn site or something that had been left over and found its way onto my flash drive, or some vulnerable outdated program that had been compromised and breached my flash drive.

Always verify your file integrity, folks!

Something similar happened to me with a neighbor’s car. I turned too wide into my parking space and ended up bumping the back of my neighbor’s van, leaving a noticeable mark. I immediately went up to their door and knocked to apologize, but no one answered AFAIR. I decided if it was a huge problem, they’d come to me or my dad about it, but they never did. So technically I wasn’t forgiven, but I wasn’t reprimanded either.

I grew up hanging onto the words of religious people in my life and never really questioning their actions.

At 25, and even a bit before then, I started to realize that these people’s words don’t matter no matter how they try to pretty them up for worship services. Their actions matter more.

And I realized that the actions of these people almost never matched what they preached on a Sunday.

So yeah, I’ve been cautious of religious people since then.

Retro gaming handhelds. I bought the Ayn Thor Pro off Swappa for close to $630, only because it came with the UEFS 4.0 processor prior to the current 3.1 downgrade. With that, my Steam Deck, and my Switch 2, I think I’m good in terms of gaming.

Also, any console or PC that’s priced over three digits. I just got an ASRock Z97 Extreme 4 motherboard from a friend with 16 GB ram that I plan on turning into a Steam Machine of my own.

I’m sad because I was in tech, then got laid off, and I’ve been trying to apply to various other tech jobs for the past year and a half, but my application never gets accepted.

Literally what stopped me from putting in my payment info. Even the cheapest tier (16GB w/o SD card) puts it at nearly $90 to purchase. I just bought an Ayn Thor Pro (with 4.0 processor) off Swappa. With that, my Steam Deck and my Switch 2, I think I’ll be fine for handheld GBA emulation.

…but fffffffuuuuuuuuuck, the form factor of the SP and the fact that it was my second and most memorable handheld in my life (aside from my DS Lite) is calling me like a siren.

If units were to be shipped to the US, would the price be increased at all?

Couldn’t they rebrand and basically take Trump’s monopoly money to continue the project under a new name?
