Way too much potassium too (and gives a hint as to why it burns at the infusion site just like a k run would). It’s like d5w with potassium and mag. Potentially quite deadly over the long term. Thankfully the glucose in the coconut water treats hyperkalemia or it would be deadly in the short term.

35·1 month agoYouTube explicitly has a service for children and I’m sure Facebook discovery would prove they explicitly market for children.

I wouldn’t worry about it as the artist (you) obviously was depicting power transformers and thus only showed power transmission as necessarily not telephony.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is the role of a government to do the will of the people, or to do whats right for the country?
2·1 month agoRepresentative governments are generally oligarchic and blinded by previous power balances. True democracy like sortition lets the deliberative body hear from a member of a minority that they will revolt or become non participatory if you do a certain action. Then the greater body can decide if that’s worth paying attention to. It’s a level of agility that is frankly only available in true democracies and very rare in both autocracies and oligarchies. Where sortition is poor isn’t tyranny of the majority. It’s poor in identifying power structures that are completely unrelated to popular power. Most of those power structures, however, are illegitimate.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is the role of a government to do the will of the people, or to do whats right for the country?
5·1 month agoThe role of the government is to thread the needle of identifying who has power (including your common labor) and creating a consensus among them that prevents a civil war. It however usually becomes captured and ossified and is unable to identify when certain power blocks have reached their red lines that will topple the whole damn thing until a new government forms. Mandate of heaven essentially. Paternalistic or will of the people are legitimacy building frames but the reality is always material.

Rasputin’s Ghost killed Bobby Farrell for this.
He died on the morning of 30 December 2010, in a hotel room in Saint Petersburg, Russia, of heart failure.[6] His agent, John Seine, said Farrell had complained of breathing problems and of pain in his chest, which intensified after he performed with his band the prior evening.[7][8] Despite his still present dynamism, he had health problems for a decade. Farrell’s body was discovered by hotel staff after he failed to respond to a wake-up call.[9][10] Coincidentally, he died 94 years to the day and in the same city as Grigori Rasputin, the subject of one of his group’s most iconic songs and whom he had dressed as in some live performances.

Her entire legitimacy at this point consists of being recognized by Western organizations and now grovelling to a hostile foreign power. She’d be the worst type of puppet.

Well you could always go the boiled water and some salt route. “Yo dog I heard you liked shock so I infused some water with bacteria antigens in it so you could go into shock while you’re going into shock.”
