      We just called it “skipping school”. Native English speaker here.

      I do remember the Alien Ant Farm album “Truant” but never knew what it meant until now.

      It really explains why 2 of my 3 nephews have dropped out of high school. The 3rd starts high school in the fall, and I expect him to follo2 his brothers’ footsteps. Of course, theyre in Idaho, and education is particularly hated there…
