    RIP Criston Cole. It’s fitting that we see him die, and fairly unceremoniously, but other characters are still talking about him. Just what he always wanted.

    Also my immediate reaction was RIP Corlys, but after thinking about it, probably just captured? Criston was clear, so Corlys being unclear means he’s just captured. Probably.

    Gwayne being real with Daeron about Ormund was great to see. Daeron has at least someone good (or at least better than Ormund) looking after him.

    Helena and Alicent seeing each other again seems doomed. That was definitely a “we’re never seeing each other again” conversation.

    Plus Rhynera seemed a little too into Helena having dreams. If Alicent is gone and she’s looking after her… Things could get ugly.

      The fact that there’s open conflict between Ulf and Daemon is certainly going to be reported to Ormund. Once he knows that little morsel of information, methinks that his covert campaign of sowing discord is going to become a lot more focused. Couple that with the fact that another dragonrider is alone and vulnerable within his own walls…

        Also Ormund and the Hightowers are supposedly “trapped” in Tumbletown, but Ulf is in King’s Landing and Hugh is in Tumbletown. I don’t think Ormund has plans on leaving, but he’s not really trapped.

        Ulf and Hugh just had their “is life better?” discussion. Ulf seems easy to turn. Hugh’s weakness is his wife who just rejected him. Hugh has generally seemed level headed, but he was pretty aggressive when trying to get his wife to leave.

    So with the “Daeron the Daring” name drop this episode, the screen franchise now has three Daeron Targaryens:

    1. Daeron the Daring Targaryen
    2. Daeron II Targaryen, AKA Daeron the Good
    3. Daeron the Drunken Targaryen

    Obviously it’s nowhere near the number of Aegon Targaryens that have been mentioned so far…

    1. Aegon I Targaryen, AKA Aegon the ConqueroR
    2. Aegon II Targaryen, AKA Aegon the Elder
    3. Aegon the Younger Targaryen
    4. Aegon the Unlikely Targaryen AKA Egg
    5. Aegon Targaryen (son of Elia Martell)
    6. Aegon the White Wolf Targaryen AKA Jon Snow

    …but it does seem to be the second-most common name in the screen franchise so far. I wonder will we ever hear Daeron the Young Dragon mentioned. It can really only happen in AKOTSK, I suppose.

    EDIT: Oh, wait, I forgot that it’s actually a tie for second with “Brandon Stark”:

      Aegon makes sense, everyone wants to be the next Conqueror.

      But Daeron is surprising. Although given how confusing all the different names already are it’s probably for the best they don’t reuse them too often.
