“Young people holding perfectly reasonable opinions for some reason out of touch media organizations can’t understand”.

    Geez that’s an embarrassing headline.

I bought a cheap fridge magnet with a cute cat on it eating noodles. My 19-year old son took it down from the fridge because “mother, that’s AI art, we don’t bring that into this house” (in my defense I had no idea). It’s in the trash now.

    The kids are alright.

I’m just so incredibly grateful that my kids can spot it better than I can

I agree with the sentiment but better to return it and get your money back. Throwing it out only sends a statement in your house. Getting your money back sends a statement to the store.

These CEOs are destroying the world these kids had learned to navigate, right when they were becoming adults. Welcome to the world, everything you’ve worked towards may now be obsolete. Good luck finding a job.

If you believe them, they are recklessly trying to create a digital God, which will then proceed to wipe out humanity out of sheer indifference.

If you don’t believe them, they are fraudsters wasting tons of resources and causing shortages.

So yeah, why wouldn’t you hate them?

Oh, I can believe it. Good thing we live in a democracy, because that means these people won’t be granted control over the entirety of society, right? anakin-padme-2

A future where nobody has to work because AI is doing all of it, would be great…

“Nobody is working while we get to keep all the capital and fruits of labour”, is not the same though. If Tech CEOs want to claim their AI to be the fair and equitable solution to the future, they need to actively use a portion of the funds they raise to implement that future, instead of saying “government/people will figure it out or something, while we set this money pile on fire”, or “people will be paid in AI queries”. AI queries don’t put food on the table.

I personally do not find that hard to believe. Let’s see, the major CEO’s of our time…We have Zionist Nazi Robot who runs on Sweet Baby Ray’s and radicalized the boomers, we have the White African Dude who capitalist’d so hard he turned himself right wing and his user base went from solar loving liberals to incel Nazi chuds, the google guy who sounds like he tried to transplant his own vocal cords who just spent more money than any human should have to try to prevent being taxes a tiny little bit once time (far less than he spent), we got the former-and-current crackhead who makes lumpy pillows and doesn’t know how elections works, the one who said drinking water isn’t a human right, dozens that said that inflation and/or consumer pain is a good thing during the pandemic, the former toilet scrubber turned CEO of the biggest company on the planet who keeps trying to convince us AI will do everything so he can sell more chips, there’s too many CEOs or went to jail or would’ve gone to jail but were pardoned by the orange one, and oh yeah, there’s the shitstain in the Whitehouse who’s trying to simulations speed run every single grift know to mankind while also bankrupting (morally and financially) and entire nation.
