Eh, I’ve been using ddg for about a month and it gives better results lately. I don’t search that often, though. (They have AI but ask first).

Invest in yourself and your sanity and use kagi.com. $5/mo. for clean search results, major configurability and a simple switch to turn AI responses off.

I’ve been using it for months and do not miss the Google swamp at all.

If you’re going to downvote a sane suggestion then at least provide a sane response

Hexbear was right to disable downvotes

I’ll bite. First off, the post reads like a commercial advertisement. Also, the pricing sucks. The $5 monthly rate caps you at 300 searches. Between phone use and studying, I can blow through that in a week or two. The next tier for unlimited is $10/month and the top plan at $25 gives you access to a group of popular AI. Their website is trying hard to sell AI and the pricing model is unattractive.

Just to clear things up, it’s no ad. I’m just a very happy Kagi user. I have the unlimited tier and use the hell out of it.

If you can’t justify it, or don’t like their service, I understand. However, I use search a lot in my work and I find the time and frustration that I save to be worth it.
