He figures they spend about $22 a day at the restaurant, and because it’s the only meal they eat each day, it all evens out, he’s decided.
Well the only thing they eat, maybe thats it.
Fair, but dang that’s still more expensive than cooking at home. They can probably bring that down to $10 or less a day for both if they cook at home.
I would certainly make that choice, but I have to assume that they really love this restaurant and/or the ease of not having to mentally manage food shopping, storage, preparation, and clean up. Between $10 and $22/day, you save <$4,500 in a year. That’s certainly nothing to scoff at, but I could see it being worth not even owning a kitchen for some people.
