        My problem with fridges is right below the bottom shelf is the crisper for all the raw vegetables.

        Despite always being told meat at bottom.

          some newer ones have actually been designed to avoid this - back in the day it was because veggies were the cheapest and easiest to replace

      In the fridge! If it’s very large it can take awhile longer than overnight, but there’s other ways to thaw it safely. Cold running water (not over like… naked meat, its in a bag or the like), can thaw using a microwave if you don’t mind the texture sometimes being a bit worse. But usually just in the fridge works.

        No. For god sakes no.

        Not only are you going to wreck the meat, but you are going to make it dangerous to fry.

        Cannot have meat floating in water overnight, it’s going to end up a soggy, bloated mess.
