Binghamton Mayor Jared Kraham added that ICE recruiting could harm local policing. The federal immigration agency plans to hire 10,000 new agents by offering large signing bonuses and benefits.
“The use of masks, no body cameras—certainly different standards than I would have in terms of constitutional policing and the rights of the individuals they’re dealing with," Kraham said.
