NEW YORK — Leaders of Young Republican groups throughout the country worried what would happen if their Telegram chat ever got leaked, but they kept typing anyway.
They referred to Black people as monkeys and “the watermelon people” and mused about putting their political opponents in gas chambers. They talked about raping their enemies and driving them to suicide and lauded Republicans who they believed support slavery.
I’d love to say this surprises me, but it does not in the slightest.
Publicly showing this is important. Hopefully this article comes up every time they apply for a job, or appear in public.
Has anyone started to link them up to their real names and addresses?
It’d be nice if some company would start offering services to do background checks on people for hateful comments. Oh, I’m sure there would be lots of butthurt about it, and people rearing up on their hind legs, barking out some shit about “rights” and “freedom”, but if there are private companies issuing FICO scores on things like private purchases, etc…why the fuck shouldn’t something like that exist?
If companies are doing background checks into your finances, why not about the shit you say, even if it’s been leaked?
Geezus… im sorry, but yer an idiot.
Showing this doesnt do anything. Guess what, people know that many people are absolutely terrible, harping on it only gives it more strength and spreads more hate. And you can’t stop hate with hate, it doesnt work that way.
Also, im sure you have said some shit that you wouldn’t want to admit to. I know i have. I think 99.99% people have said regrettable shit. Let us let people change. In fact, forgiving someone’s past is exactly how we help a person change. Go on though, keep hating, keeping hate/unforgiveness will make a person physically ill. Love
Holding someone accountable is not hating.
I never said it was, also, thats what you think this is? This is not “holding someone accountable”
