I always wonder how the guy playing Travis felt about the writers creating an alien that stereotypes all human beings as white.
I mean, they could have at least explored how the character Travis felt about it. Real missed opportunity.
I think to the Andorians, all human skin looks more or less pink because our blood is red. To us, all Andorian skin looks blue, but they probably see distinctions between the shades of blue that are significant to them. So it’s just a matter of perspective. That’s how I interpret it, anyway.
Travis: “Man, fuck that guy.”
Travis: man these honkies are finally getting a taste of their own medicine
You can spot the tourists at the beach based on pinkness levels. I feel so sorry for them, but still, haven’t they been swimming before?! I guess they’re not prepared for the extra light reflecting off the Gulf and the white sand. Not a fan myself, too intense out there.
