Its a hard thing to come to terms with. Families are split in two. To take up arms means we are doing it against our own family members. In my case it would be my father and brother.

Your father and brother are Nazis.

If they aren’t afraid of you, you’re a coward or you’re complicit. There isn’t any grey area with fascism.

Yes please do nothing instead and explain your strategy from a Salvadoran gulag in the future.

Yep those are the only options.

Prove yourself an enemy or sit idle.

            A profound lack of nuance.

Sowing community and peeling undecideds, Sabotaging, undermining, informing, rearing confusion and exploiting divisions that exist within the power structure, encouraging idleness in the enemy even.

The enemies of fascism and ways to resist it are myriad. And yet you can only imagine a sword to meet a sword.

And frankly; there’s no faster road to that gulag. Or more likely an abrupt meaningless death that accomplishes nothing.

Rage and cast aspersions from your safe nest, blame anyone who hasn’t given up on everyone that’s on the other side. Reduce the work of ages to a simple numbers game. Throw away every weapon that seems too complex or involved, deny all clemency and revoke the rights of others to offer it.

Surely that’s what we need. Another great war will kill the demon.
