      Though you’re correct, Merriam Webster makes it seem that “hung” is fine here too.

        I’ve always thought hanged was the correct term for past tense of hanging humans and hung was correct for other situations

        Remember that Noah Webster is responsible for deriving American from English. Convince me he didn’t write a dictionary only to lend an air of legitimacy to his lunacy.

        In this context ‘hung’ could also be an adjective indicating he has a gigantic dong. So I really think we should be sticklers about hanged vs hung here.
