David Brooks is pretty much the poster boy for corporate bothsiderist bullshit that got us to where we are now.
atlantic has gone way downhill.
This guy has been the most boring, milquetoast talking conservative head for a long time. He’s the Alan Colmes for centrist/liberal US media.
He’s made a career out of trying to make conservatism palatable to rational, empathetic audiences. He’s like a third-rate MD selling supplements and alternative therapies.
He’s such hot garbage. Dude pretended for so long that the Republican Party is not full of Republicans and barely heard of this one guy called Rush Limbaugh.
Utter fraud.
It’s been fun watching him on PBS squirm and thrash, and then finally concede that Trump and his ilk are bad for the nation. He was (sort of still is) a Trump apologist for too long.
