Once it turned out to be majority republicans in the files, other right wingers quietly decided they don’t care about pedophilia anymore.

They never cared, at that level it’s not about party it’s about protecting the interests of their class. If the working class had the same level of class unity that the wealthy do, the wealthy would not exist

That is the plan and has been since the indentured servants and slaves rebelled. And they turned us against each other. It works remarkably well and has for centuries.

I think most of the voters convince themselves that they care. They were just too open to moving on to whatever their preferred propaganda channel tells them to start worrying about, because they don’t actually care about anything other than the tribe.

Most of the voters do care, they are just so beat down and cynical they don’t expect anything to come of it. They don’t insist something does come of it. Especially with the democrats, but republicans too. They do care but no one is doing anything about it.

I think it’s more important to shine a light on right wingers losing interest, as that’s what enables enough politicians to stone wall any action, which is what justifies non-right voters apathy.

Except now Alabama wants the death penalty for convicted pedo rapists, which judging from their history of using justice to exploit and abuse people, really means “any black people, trans or left folks who we don’t like.”

Two politicians and one royal is hardly “Europe’s political class”. It’s more than in US, sure, but I don’t think enough politicians from Europe are mentioned in the files to have any real impact. Starmer might resign but his position wasn’t strong to begin with.

So what would happen if everyone registered as a republican and voted for socialists in the primaries?

That’s because the unredacted European names are distractions from the redacted mentions of the orange lardsack.

It could be different, but until we get some influencers that know how to play real politik, we won’t see any change. Our politicians think lodging a complaint with the justice department is all they can do.

You have a run a campaign, and it helps if you have a leader of the party that leads campaigns and provides direction, and cover, and air support. You don’t need focus groups and polls to tell you what’s popular, you make it popular. You know people will care after it’s brought to them, and you bring it to them.

It’s really not a radical idea, it’s how politics has been played, and still is on the right, forever. It’s only the democrats in our lifetimes that have surrendered.

I find it heartbreaking that rank-and-file Dems haven’t had the presence of mind to notice that the party machinery forces individual politicians steadily right, and continue to push the “vote blue no matter who” message. The DSA is right there, and it is only the popular narrative among self-identified left-leaning folks that voting 3rd party is “wasting your vote” that prevents us from pulling them solidly left.
