State leaders have shown a decadeslong antipathy toward the health insurance program. If Trump makes severe reductions, it’s unlikely leaders would have the political will to make up any lost federal funds with state money, experts say.
I would not be surprised, but it would be disappointing. I want to believe people are smarter than voting against their own interests. But I’ve been proven wrong in that so many times I don’t have any faith.
If I had my way, those people would have affordable housing, public health care, and a fat ham for Christmas dinner. They get to have it THEIR way, and I don’t think it makes one the same as a right-wing dipshit to think that self-inflicted injury is very funny.
