One Trump voter issued a tear-filled video regretting his decision to vote for the president after his brother, who served with U.S. special forces, died while in Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

In a video posted to social media, Naseer Paktyawal tearfully recalled his brother’s service to the country and the moment that ICE “kidnapped” him in front of his son, Imrin. ABC News initially posted the video.

“I saw two cars unmarked. Seven, eight people jump out of those cars,” Paktyawal said. “One on the driver’s side, one on the back of his car, and grabbed him from his seat and put a handcuff on him.”

Mohammad Nazeer Paktyawal’s son, Imrin, was also featured in the video and recalled witnessing his father’s arrest. “I was standing there, and then they came and just take him,” the boy said.

Imrin added that he was “standing there” as the agents hauled his father away. “I was like, just don’t take him, please,” Imrin recalled.

According to Paktyawal, he later received a call from an ICE facility. “I thought they were going to release him back,” Imrin said.

“He said, ‘Are you, Naseer?’ That’s me,” Paktyawal said. “Your brother Mohamed Nasir Paktyawal passed away this morning and his body is laying down in a parking lot in the hospital.”

“My first vote was for this president, and I regret it, and I’m gonna regret it for the rest of my life,” he added. “Because of me, because of my voting, He got arrested, and he lost his life. And I’m never going to forgive myself for that.”

CNN reported that he was taken by ICE agents outside of his Dallas apartment and died less than a day after being in ICE custody. His family said that Mohammad had no known health conditions and had been seeking asylum in the U.S. since his arrival in 2021.

    Odds that in November he

    A. Votes GOP

    B. Votes Dem

    C. Abstains

    My guess is still A.

It is, but in November he’s not voting for Trump, so he can have a clear conscious on that topic, nor can he ever vote for him again unless Trump tries to pull the I can run for 3 terms thing.

If they voted for Trump, they’re probably not bright enough to realize the GOP as a whole is part of it.

He had a brother called Muhammad that had been seeking asylum yet still voted for the guy who wanted to deport all the people who were seeking asylum, especially if they had a name like Muhammad

But he already got the citizenship, so the “fuck you, I got mine” mentality set in

How many videos of people crying about their vote for Biden does anyone remember? I’m sure there were some but I don’t remember that being like a trending thing…

There might have been regret videos, but I really doubt any that might exist were even near tearful. Unless you count the dude dancing to Bo Burnham’s Joe Biden song. That might count.

They cold-bloodedly execute citizens whose families have been here for generations, in front of dozens of witnesses, and on camera and nothing happens to them.

A citizen s life is worth less to them the the cost of the ammo they use, they don’t even view immigrants as people.

It’s not about viewing as people or not, they don’t view them as equals, or deserving, but of the enemy, and that includes the good’s and pretti’s.

They are all worked up about those that oppose them, have total backing to abuse those people, and next to nothing to fear of reprisals from the states they operate in much less the fed government.

How much does minneapolis suck that they haven’t put out warrants for pretti and good’s killers? It’s on fucking video, and the shooters are identified. You don’t need fed information cooperation. And you fucking knew this was going to happen, or should have.

        We need all new leadership.

I’m guessing the Meal Team 6 highschool dropouts didn’t like having an actual service member in their midst, and executed him.

I think it’s likely the guy got mouthy, his brother is in the armed forces, actually believing these Chuds give a shit about veterans, they don’t and never have. It’s cynical posturing on their part and while we know they’ve fucked EVERY group of vets to the best of their ability, despite maybe the WWII ones, (only because WWII vets were too numerous and powerful after the new deal and war.)

So the Ice or whomever beat him to death or whatever. Same shit. Never get mouthy with cops, sadly it never works out well, at best you walk away as you would if you kept your mouth shut. There are ways of fighting an unjust system, mouthing off to security services with near complete control over your life and death with little consequence to themselves, is not one of them.

      first time?

      inb4

This is one of the original World War II killing of Soviet civilians accused of being partisans on the Eastern Front by a German firing squad, September 1941 photographs taken, that the US Military archived. I captioned the image in Arabic styled in the meme format “First Time?” I am blatantly mocking armed US Special Forces that went to Operation Enduring Freedom to genocide being bilinguals.

33% of this country thinks everything is going great and so would this asshole if his brother was still alive. I’ll feel a shred of sympathy for the first one I ever see say “I want to apologize to everyone whose lives were affected by my vote, I didn’t care about what happened to you, only me. I won’t make that mistake again.” I’m still waiting and I’ll be waiting forever because these sociopaths have not the slightest trace of empathy.

People almost never change, but when they do it’s only after they hit absolute rock bottom and decide they’re choosing to act differently no matter the pain they have to go through as they change. Being sure you killed your brother that you loved with all your heart with your reckless behavior is a rock bottom, so if anyone is capable of changing it will be this guy. That doesn’t guarantee he will, but I wouldn’t place any bets against him because that’s not easy money.

Fuck, even the lily white people are getting attacked. Germans and British people are getting deported, and American born white men are getting mistakenly targeted as immigrants. Nevermind the face that their trigger discipline is nonexistent and they’re happy to shoot anyone who breathes in their direction.

I truly wish I could figure out how to explain this to MAGA supporters, but I don’t need to be more depressed today.

You can’t explain it to them. There is only one thing those brain-deads without the capacity for basic empathy can understand: their own personal suffering.

So when you can’t believably tell them, that they surely will be targeted (and you can’t because their critical thinking skills are non-existent and their favorite talking-heads are telling them otherewise), there is just no point in trying.

There’s conservatives in every population, and that worldview is all it takes to be susceptible to the lies and propaganda.

Today we even understand why immigrants tend to specifically support anti-immigration parties and demagogues.

Immigrants are against illegal immigration. They’re the good ones, the other immigrants are the bad ones. It’s like with women, r women hate being lumped with women in general. They’re special and are the “good ones”tm, why does no one see that!?

The dynamic is different with women. What you describe is "pick-me"s and they do exist. But women don’t cease being women the way immigrants usually desire to cease being just that, and women are generally accepted by their society (within the constraints of that gender role). So for immigrants there is a far greater incentive to distance themselves from those that came after you.

There’s also a self-selection going on, as people with specific traits are far more likely to emigrate than others. This is basically never brought up in immigration discourse, but immigrants from one country are by no means a representative slice of the people in that country.
