Summary

Republicans are struggling to defend Trump’s economic policies as markets decline and recession fears grow.

The Dow has dropped 7% this month, and tariffs on allies and rivals have raised consumer prices.

Some White House officials worry about a slow recovery, while GOP lawmakers express concern over Trump’s trade moves and deep government cuts.

Lawmakers and donors see a lack of strategy, with tariffs hurting U.S. businesses.

I’ve been waiting for the GOP to go to war with Trump since 2015.

The GOP didn’t act when Trump’s policies were killing humans, but killing corporations is a step too far.

I’ve been thinking that as well. Corporations losing money is a big no no, especially for Trump’s dick swinging efforts.

They don’t care about destroying corporations either. Musk is actively killing his own company.

It is only a matter of weeks before there is a class-action lawsuit from the shareholders against Musk for his reckless, damaging behavior, and the Tesla board of directors for not reigning him in, or firing him. At that point, the board will fire him in an attempt to mitigate the damage in the markets and in the courts.

Yeah, they won’t. Miss KFC 2024 and his base have them in a vice grip. They know they’ll receive credible threats if they speak out against him. Or worse; lose their seat and all the bribe money that come with it.

It all makes sense when you understand that we have two foreign Sociopathic Oligarchs (Putin and Musk), and the most prolific traitor in American history (Agent Krasnov) teaming up with the precise objective to weaken America so they can loot it. None of them have any patriotism or loyalty to America and her ideals, they just see America as a fat, lazy, RICH target to be ruthlessly exploited.

Sure, Putin also wants to destroy America’s standing in the world as well, but he’s had no problem getting cooperation from the two people with possibly the worst cases of OCD financial hoarding complexes in the world. As long as they get first dibs on the spoils, theyre happy to do his nefarious bidding.

while GOP lawmakers express concern over … deep government cuts.

Bullshit. This is exactly what they have wanted for years, ever since this guy drew a bath for the sole purpose of drowning Government in it

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grover_Norquist#:~:text=drown it in the bathtub."

The only concern they have is that their voters might realize that the GOP has been lying to them all along about how unimportant the Federal Government should be, and take away their cushy Government job at the polls.

An excellent idea. If federal government is so unimportant, they should prove it and start by dismantling themselves.

Nah, relying on a hundreds of years old document with no realistic method for updating to better fit a modern society is a big part of how it got this bad in the first place.

It’s mostly patches and original errors and needs to be replaced rather than still trying to make it fit something it was never made for.

While you are correct in the point that the US political fabric needs a fundamental overhaul, lets do this step by step. Betting rid of Trump and his fascists is the first step. Fixing the fundamental problems of the American political setup, like FPTP voting, campaign financing, the makeup of the Senate, the unholy union of head of state and head of government, gerrymandering, and the way the president is elected are the necessary next steps.
