Zink voted for Trump but said he doesn’t agree with everything the president does. Zink clarifies he calls himself a “conservative” over calling himself a “Republican.” He doesn’t like Trump’s inflammatory rhetoric. “I prefer common sense in the middle,” he said.

All I can think, is that they are a special kind of stupid. I remember articles like this from trump voters in 2020, and it never ceases to amaze me that here they are complaning about getting fucked by him, exactly the way he said he’d fuck them, and exactly the way he fucked them last time… And this is their 3rd time voting for him. I have no doubt that when trump runs again, they’ll vote for him a 4th time.

Oh no, the political party I voted for opposes my special issue, but I had to vote for them instead of the party that supports it because I lack awareness and am gullible.

And I call that “common sense”

Fuck these people, they are scum and deserve exactly what they are getting, and more.

I can see how someone could rationalize voting for Trump in '16. The decision making is easy to follow, everything is fucked, vote for the outsider candidate who wants to usher in real change… It’s the Bernie bro turned trump voter theory. I don’t agree, but it makes sense of you squint.

But voting for this disgusting human shaped piece of dog shit in 2020 means you voted for fucking exactly this. You voted for the rapist. You voted for the conman. You voted for the tariffs. You voted for Putin and Elon and Nazis all around. Fuck you.

I hope these people die in a house fire

I’m going to call bullshit. They’re just sheep that got away from the shepherd. They’ll return to the flock the moment they’re threatened to have to deal with the reality of their decisions.

    Fuck them.

No remorse for wha they did, and no regret for what they deserve.

“I prefer common sense in the middle"

Then don’t vote on the one commited to dragging the Overton window further away from the middle.

“You cannot fire our firefighters. You cannot fire our trail crews. You have to have selective logging, and water restoration, and healthy forests,” Zink said. “People in Washington D.C., on the West Coast, East Coast — they don’t understand what that means to us out here.”

Meanwhile people from all those places yelling at him that Trump will cut all those things and to not vote for that

Well, it is actually. Literally everyone told you this would happen. The problem isn’t that you “didn’t vote for this,” the problem is that you voted for something that never existed. Ask any Trump supporter what they voted for and 8 out of 10 times they have made up their own reason that specifically fits their viewpoint and even contradicts what Trump himself said he would do in most circumstances. In their anger towards “liberals” and “woke” they basically created their own idea of what Trump was based on nothing but vibes and then voted for that idea as if it was what he actually stood for. It’s a religion and based on faith, not a political party. Like when “Christians” make shit up from the bible to fit their arguments even when it doesn’t make any sense.

“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command”

Just ask yourself: Where did you put your cross on the ballot paper?

If your vote was for Trump, well, you know that this is exactly what you voted for.

Except we don’t put crosses on ballot papers here. Where we use cardstock ballots at all, we fill in bubbles. Otherwise it’s various machine markings.

Is it a meme reference? I didn’t get any results. Crosses mean a lot of things in the US, especially to MAGA types, but it’s too much for us to hope they’re putting them on ballots because it would invalidate them.

That’s part of the problem. We gave up on electronic voting years ago, as no electronic voting system is compatible with democratic voting.

Don’t worry, they’ll still vote for Trump’s preferred candidates in the midterms, and then for the third term in 2028, not that the vote count will actually matter.
