You said “in 2025” so that’s why I said “current.”
The article references two decisions - one from 2022 and one from 1984. The 1984 decision is just as problematic as the 2022 decision (and together they are super bad, of course), and that one wasn’t from today’s court.
So I think what you’re saying is that we shouldn’t give any real weight to this court’s decisions, and that someday a more reasonable court will find them as absurd as the rest of us do? If so, I agree. But today we’re still living in their world.
Anyone acting like SC decisions are set in stone in 2025
What I meant was that in the year of 2025, people should realize that any SC (future and current) could overturn any ruling, ones made in the past and ones not made yet
Not that in the next few days nothing could change.
I’m sorry that wasn’t clear, but to be fair I thought that phrase was common usage still.
Bullshit
Anyone acting like SC decisions are set in stone in 2025 either has no idea what they’re talking about, or they’re just a billionaire’s mouthpiece…
Totally unrelated, but did you know The Atlantic’s owner is worth 14 Billion dollars?

I dunno if she’s the one that told Steve Jobs that fruit can cure cancer, but that’s what made her so wealthy and I’m sure she wants to keep it
Are you saying that it’s realistic to expect that the current Supreme Court would overturn these decisions?
I think the word you added is the issue…

I get it now, thanks for clarifying!
