We’ve had video evidence that cops are the bad guys since the first guy filmed LAPD beating Rodney King. Hasn’t changed a goddamned thing.
Rodney was black in a coastal city. This was a white guy in the heartland. You could write dissertations on why that difference alone makes a huge impact on perception, not to mention any of the other stuff going on leading up to this.
You’d be amazed to learn that cops have actually murdered and beaten a LOT more than two people, much of it captured on video.
And that does include white males. Nothing is new.
It may not be new to you but a lot of people are paying attention currently that normally don’t.

I hope this is a turning point, but I don’t believe it until I see it.
Trump has mobilized federal forces en masse now, ICE, FBI the National guard and even including the military to be ready to intervene against the population if necessary.
Trump is a sociopath, in an administration completely filled with sociopaths. They won’t hesitate to kill people if it suit their purpose.
It’s already evident that they don’t give a shit about those innocent people already killed. They resort to victim blaming completely against the evidence and without shame. How exactly do people imagine things will turn now? Unless of course there are plans to occupy the White house, but I’m not sure even that will help, Trump will just be flown away in a helicopter to a military installation outside the reach of ordinary people.
If the administration is moved to another location, the White House is just another building. On the more positive side (/s), all this turbulence has allowed Trump to withhold the Epstein Files without much uproar over that.
The real risk remains that when people protest, Trump will declare martial law, and while the checks and balances are scrambling to figure out what to do, Trump will take complete control. Because the system was not designed to reign in a malignant narcissist for president and an administration that backs him up completely. It was designed to make the president strong and effective, giving the President way to much power, and no real power to the ones outside the administration that are supposed to reign him in.
This is not a turning point, it’s an escalation, and Trump already has plans for that.
But lets hope Trumps plans fail, because he isn’t very bright, he is merely completely ruthless and without any conscience.Oh sure, this is the turning point
I hate to be cynical but I have to agree. From an outsider’s perspective - all of this is too far gone for some death, as gruesome as it sounds, to become a turning point. If the US wanted to rebel they would have had about two hundred equally pivotal moments in the last years and nothing happened
let’s go to the video:

The turning point to what though? To throwing trump and his admin in prison? Sadly, Americans don’t have it in them.
