Feckless cowards and traitors to our nation.

Our leaders are felons, rapists, pedophiles, and cowards.

Apparently that is how Americans want to be represented.

Part of being conservative (ie: authoritarian) is being extra loyal to the in-group. I think it’s like in their brain chemistry and structure. They will almost always yield to the authority figure for their in group.

Pretty sure the cloud of miasma that follows him violates at least 3 Geneva conventions and most of the Hague conventions.

so a meeting with the walking turdling is definitely a threat.

I don’t think they are intimidated because they think he will beat them up. It’s because he is the most powerful man in the world and because of his rabid fans

His rabid fans started turning on him over higher gas prices caused by this stupid war. They could win those rabid fans over by confronting trump on this issue. He’s 80 with one foot in the grave; if they can’t grow a spine now, they never will.

“Started” is the operative in that sentence. His rabid fans are still threatening people all over the country with violence if they think they can get away with it. No one is scared of the lunatic in chief. They’re scared of the people frothing at the mouth and still supporting him, because he controls the justice department which means their protection, is at his discretion, and in the end he can keep pardoning those people until they get to their targets.

          one foot in the grave

According to my curated conservative “news”, Trump is healthier and more lively than a 20 year old collegiate athlete… one foot in the grave, what are you even talking about?

Not unless they plan to switch parties or run independent. Trump is the GOP. His cult of personality reigns supreme.

I think the knowledge is quite delightful. It fundamentally inverses the idea that “anyone put in the position of [horrible people] would act [horrible]” and shows that it is, in fact, related to a spectrum of cognition. It also shows us that this spectrum of cognition can be shifted by surroundings, in a surprisingly easy way. Plus, we see that the side of the spectrum that we would instinctively consider bad (authoritarian) is not. It is a very useful thing, when tempered by the social group.

Also, it appears to be catching on. One of the bullshit probably AI articles that litters the new tab screen on my browser was a (very) dumbed down version of Altemeyer’s theories. That gives me some hope too.

Ah, that’s a great book. I’ve been telling people to read that for years and years.

Anyway, I would not be surprised to learn that many right wing politicians against not only themselves, but their families. And I’m sure that’s coming from inside the party.
