The Post is now committed to “Riveting Storytelling for All of America,” and anyone seeking out “an A.I.-fueled platform for news.”

this might be the single stupidest thing i’ve read all week. and let me tell you, the competition has been fierce.

Washington Post still thinks “Democracy Dies In Darkness,” but announces new mission The Post is focused on “Riveting Storytelling for All of America.”

Bruh, so “no longer about the news” is what that sounds like to me. The paper was already dying to begin with dude, you didn’t have to put a bullet in it.

Riveting Storytelling for All of America.

    Pathetic.

I very much doubt that Bezos likes or respects Trump. I wonder if this is humiliating for him or if he just doesn’t care anymore.

It’s amazing how little of a shit you have to give when you’re busy counting your billions and riding your personal penis rocket.

Mr. Bezos, the founder of Amazon, has made comments in line with the new mission statement in conversations with Post journalists in recent years, according to two people familiar with those discussions. Mr. Bezos has expressed hopes that The Post would be read by more blue-collar Americans who live outside coastal cities, mentioning people like firefighters in Cleveland. He has also said that he is interested in expanding The Post’s audience among conservatives, the people said.

Basically it’s signposting the further enshitification of the Washington Post.

Sounds like they warned that democracy would die and then it did, so they don’t need the warning up there anymore now that we have a traitorous felon elected and given a free pass instead of consequences for his crimes. (J/K we all know it’s Bezos sucking up to the trumptards)

It was a creepy-ass slogan on the back of their 2016 glad-handing trump to begin with. Good riddance.

The new slogan reads like a Fox News euphemism for selling entertainment as “news”.
