Look I hate to see industries churn through workers lives like disposable commodities but:

    1. You chuckle fucks voted for this.

    2. Perhaps your painful deaths etched into your loved one’s memories will cement shit like this from happening again (at least until living memory of you fades, as is inevitable with the human condition).

    3. Even if it doesn’t, with you lot dying for nothing including your bosses withholding any death in service pay from your families at least we can call it karmatically even.

You’re awfully judgemental towards people that are just trying to feed their family and have very few options.

Well yeah but they didn’t HAVE to vote for Trump. The might have had some chance of healthcare under the Dems but zero under Trump.

They are never going to get those jobs back, and its high time they accept that their beloved rugged and country song worthy lifestyle doesn’t exist anymore.

The willful ignorance is palpable. Like 0 vision on how the whole process would work, and 100% based on feels and a total disregard for the logistics, supply and demand, etc…

Theses people are asking for the impossible, and expect that someone do all the thinking for them so they can never back down from their position.

And to do what? Mine and dig holes for a product that can’t even sustain them? Theses people are so enamored with a past that can’t exist anymore and right wing politicians keep nourishing this impossible expectation for votes, and they fall for it Every. Goddamn. Time.

Like the frustration people feel for this is insane. Honestly, the local gov should give them a mine to throw their lives at in an attempt to make a living and let them fail spectacularly (or succeed, no one is against their success, but its most likely not gonna happen.)

i’m awfully judgemental of people who wants their fellows to suffer, but acts like victims when the consequences bites them in the ass too.

Coal mining has become much more automated. It now requires highly skilled engineers and equipment operators and does not need the massive man power as it once did.

Their jobs are never coming back and the ones that do are not good matches because they don’t have the proper skills.

They were lied to then betrayed. We should not blame them. We should blame the leaders who lie to our working class. The ones who promise impossible things and deliver garbage.

Nah, those idiots in West Virginia voted for Trump 3 times in a row.

      He was a known quantity.

Same with the idiots in the rust belt. Those low skill high paying jobs have been gone longer than they were there.

      Shits obviously not coming back.

Guess they should have let Hillary teach them to put up solar panels like she wanted to.

Yeah, they have. Why do you think we’ve been trying to get people out of the mines in the first place? The only people who still want coal mines are evil or ignorant. If you’re not evil, you probably have black lung.

When Trump says he’s a friend to miners, he’s just keeping them quiet while selling them out to the big mining corps and damaging renewables for the big oil companies.

When he says he’s a friend to farmers, he’s just keeping them quiet while selling them out to argentinian fascists, republican land grabbers and the big agro-corps.

When you are working class, Trump was never your friend, the republicans aren’t your friends and the industry is not providing jobs for but exploiting you.
