There’s some relief that the government shutdown is over, but Democrats are more likely to say they’re frustrated about the deal that ended it, and that their party compromised too much.

By a wide margin, Americans say it was Republicans and Trump who succeeded in getting more of what they wanted from the negotiations to end the shutdown.

Most Democrats think their own party’s congressional Democrats compromised too much. Most Republicans say their delegation’s approach to compromise was about right.

The Democrats shot themselves in the face. Again. Like they always do. And let the entire country know that they are just as spineless, unreliable, duplicitous, and useless as everyone thinks they are.

One bad apple spoils the barrel, and the Democratic party tolerates embraces a lot of very bad apples.

Convincing the working class to hate raising taxes on their rulers was the most effective thing rich people have done to solidify their wealth.

It really puts into perspective who is a fool and who is not. Unfortunately, the fools are in the majority and think they’re smart because of it.

Sad when these ballsacks show more resolve than your average American. Longest shutdown in history is more than anything anyone else has done.

I dont know who still needs to hear this, the democrats wont save you. They arent able to. They were bought and sold long long ago.

Yeah fuck Schumer, but let’s also not minimize the Americans voter’s role in this.

The Republicans control every part of government becuase they were voted in… now those voters are like “wait, we voted for assholes, we don’t want them doing asshole things!”

Well, tough shit… Part of me is glad the Dems are failing, the same way I have zero compassion left for the farmers and workers and all these other assholes that voted for Trump and are now going to go bankrupt or lose their heath insurance.

At some point, it seem Americans will only learn once they are on the street eating dirt.

I’m just so fucking tired of Republicans starting illegal wars, striping personal freedom, destroying economies and STILL getting elected, because Democrats are always out back in charge long enough to start cleaning up.

Well you know, fuck it then, if these dipshits want 2000$/month premiums, let’s spin the wheel Boris.

They are both worse than useless but I’m actually more upset by Jeffries. We have known for ages who Schumer is, never should have gotten a position of power. I remember Jeffries coming up though, he was sold as this new, young, dynamic and progressive face for the party. But he is the oldest young person in America, he governs like someone even more out of touch than the crypt keeper he replaced.

Who do I tell? Their answering machine? Their poorly paid staffer who has to answer calls?

Maybe I should just go talk to my front door knob, or quietly whisper my complaints into a pillow. It would accomplish the same thing.

Every single congressman has a contact page and a little box to tick requesting a response. You type their name into google followed by contact and you send them an email. I feel like I shouldn’t even have to explain this to people, this is really basic shit.

          Here, look: Email Jacky Rosen

          Do that.

If we all can’t be bothered to do that most basic shit as telling them what we want, then we probably deserve this hell, because sure as fuck our enemies are speaking their demands to them.

I don’t judge people by what they wear, the last one who couldn’t bother to show up in attire was Fetterman and he’s a piece of shit.

Here’s a harsh reality: Americans were divided about the shutdown along the same lines they have been polarized already, and this after-poll reflects that. I don’t think anyone changed their mind during this whole thing. Would pushing it to the point of actual empty stomachs done that? I am not sure anymore. All the rules are different in the information age.

Stop blaming the whole party for some ass hats who need primaried…

Especially now that the DNC won’t throw it’s weight behind them in those primaries. They’ll be on their own and weak, but all 8 won’t have a primary until a new chair is seated.

They’re betting on people checking out and neoliberals being able to regain the party in time for their next elections.

Then your goal isn’t a non biased party…

You want a party that interferes in primaries.

Which is incredibly shortsighted and counter to the bottom-up power structure that a democratic party would have.

Go moderate the republicans if you want a top-down power structure. But if we can only pick between the two, any gains would be temporary and the wealthy will seize control of both.

I view the Democrats as a pathetic party that never hits back. And when a Democrat DOES try to hit back, the other Democrats try to sink that person’s campaign for being disruptive.

So yeah, I’m upset with the Dems for always trying to appease or doing some halfhearted “Oh no we wanna do something but we just can’t ughhh” nonsense.
