Hah, uh, that kind of behavior is actually a gigantic red flag, not cute in any way.

“I’m either extremely insecure, or need you to worship me, or both!”

    Fucking run.

Dodge the bullet, literally and figuratively.

And this goes for any persons of any gender or whatever, mixed into this scenario.

    This is not cute.

Yeah. Like I get it’s a comic and is supposed to be comedic but jesus that’s a pretty big level of insecurity.

Honestly its pretty big femcel vibes, in the sense of the ‘woman who cannot attract a mate to save her life’ meaning of femcel.

Yep, pretty insane if taken at face value.

My guess would be the gun is meant as a visual metaphor/joke, but uh… yeah, its not actually a wholly implausible literal scenario.

Probably the author/artist has very little real world experience with firearms, would be my guess.

Guys, that’s why you date a bi girl. You can appreciate feminine beauty together.

And ladies that’s why you date bi guys. You can appreciate masculine beauty together.

I’m not bi, but I can still appreciate masculine beauty. Beauty is beauty, after all, regardless of someone’s gender.

I’m a straight guy…and I’m CONSTANTLY confused by the guys women swoon for.

Like in the 90s, I understood Brad Pitt. But then I dated a girl who swooned over Adrian Brody.

What??? His face looks like genetics forgot how to make his face. If AI imagery existed in 2003, I would have thought my now ex was in love with an AI image.

And now today? Pete Davidson. How is THIS guy attractive??? REALLY??? But thats what I’m hearing.

        I still don’t understand.

Also straight man, I totally get Brody. He’s pretty handsome but, and I think this is important, he has a unique look while still being attractive. That’s the thing where AI fails, ironically. It makes statistically average things. It has a much easier time making conventionally attractive people.

Looks are usually only part of the formula. Maybe Pete Davidson’s a sweet and genuine guy? And Adrien Brody has a charming look imo. He seems kind.

          Speaking as a straight man.

Funny how the women goes from looking like a hot librarian type adult to a homely nerdy teen in the last two panels.

I’m honestly tempted to think this is some kind of edit.

The art style for both characters, not just the woman, completely changes for the last two panels.

Everything is different, more simplistic faces and facial features, more swoopy, less angular, less detail, both characters become basically ovals or rounded rectangles, when they were first basically polygons… eyes for both characters are now totally different…

I’ve seen this kind of style swapping in multiple anime and mangas. Not speaking directly to this example, just saying that it’s a thing that is done sometimes.

Thats true, that is also a thing.

But… usually … the style shift… contextually makes sense, to… emphasize something. A mood shift, a perspective shift, a time shift, etc.

Or sometimes you get a sort of… clipshow type format, but its not actually a clipshow, its … the style is bouncing around all over the place, basically as both an artistic tour de force, and as a sort of meta joke, for that whole episode.

I guess I’m just not seeing anything like that here.

    “No pain, no gain.”

Nah, I find that there’s a unique balance when it comes to being in a long-form romantic relationship. Like, the fundamental urge to preserve one’s ego, but also the key insight-- that being in an equitable relationship involves personal sacrifice for the healthy function of the union.

    That said, beware of scammers.
