Cats have a higher thermal neutral than humans. So if you are comfortable, your cat is likely a little cold. Make sure they have a warm place to lay, heating pad, sunny spot, under some blankets.

I would call that enthusiast level rather than rich person. It’s not more than a decent drone or camera or many other technology hobbies. Less than half the price of a ps5 or meta quest 3.

Sure, you could argue it probably has less function and replay value than those. But it’s still not ludicrously expensive if you REALLY want it.

I have a crap ton of things I really want but would never choose to spend the money on myself and wait for it as a gift. That’s basically the entire point of gifts imo, getting things you want but can’t justify spending the money on.

It was in the 1000s a few years ago. That was “professional level”, not “rich people shit”, because it can be a useful investment.
Now, it’s "enthusiast level; affordable enough for interested people to play around with it, and cheap enough that you can let it rot in a drawer after losing interest.
What you want is probably “cheap e-waste” level.

It does seem so. Cats’ internal temp is a bit warmer than ours - like 101 or 102F. Lots of blood vessels near the surface in a butthole, so it’s warmer than most other areas, though would expect it to be slightly cooler than internal. Not 8 degrees cooler though.
