Try living in Ireland,September is the freak worst month for weather, spiders and sick days. It terrible, the whole nation has to readjust to the 8 Month winter
Autumn around here is just rainy winter lite that leads into winter standard, followed by winter extended cut, before I finally get my two weeks of summer again.
Still better than being too hot under a relentless sun.
Anything is better than that. After 3 months mostly indoors, the good weather is finally coming.
I love the colors of Fall. I do not love my Fall allergies.
I was waiting autumn like crazy, but all I see is 23-30C , no leaves falling. Sad.
I’m in Irelands North coast,I think it’s been above 30 twice in the last 4 years
We’ve still got 3 days
Fingers crossed!
The last panel:
If you want extreme, try this.
I used to have the flu at least twice a year.
But I haven’t had the flu or a cold for 15 years now.
It is also 15 years since I was tested Vitamin D deficient, and started taking 85 µg per day.
Are the 2 connected? IDK for sure, but it seems likely IMO.Possibly, but people also tend to get the flu less often as they get older. There’s a lot of different viruses around, but at some point your body will have seen enough of them to fight them more effectively.
I would expect that to be a gradual effect, for me it absolutely wasn’t gradual. It was straight from getting the flu almost every time it was around, to never getting it for 15 years straight!
This is not “less often” it’s straight from always to never.
Fall I can deal with. Spring makes me look like I’m dying.
Third day of rush hour public transport. I just know im about to come down with the lurgy
Lurgy?
A word used a lot here as a humorous stand in for colds etc - https://en.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/lurgy
Gotcha. Thanks!
Yep I’m just waiting for mine to hit
I wish wearing masks on public transport remained normalised
It still can be. There’s absolutely nothing stopping you from wearing one. I still do on occasion.
Yeah but the main benefit is everyone else wearing them to prevent the spread in the first place.
I think they’re saying they wish other people would wear them when they’re sick, as most masks are a lot better at blocking outgoing viruses than incoming ones
They wouldn’t look cool though.
I am coughing and wheezing rn, so i can relate.
Two weeks after thanksgiving is rough.
