But all of his movies are full of music/visual related gags.
I’ve heard some backstory about this movie.
One was that there was a bit in the script where the bankrobbers used Michael Myers masked to rob a bank, but the studio couldn’t get the rights to show Mikeyboi. So they just rewrote it into a joke and used Mike Myers masks, with the in-universe explanation being that the guy who bought the masks has simply never seen Halloween and did not know he was supposed to get the Horror Movie Character… and that Mike Myers apparently thought the bit was so funny that he okay’d his likeness for the flick.

Also some metaphor could be made about the cop running past all these billion dollar chains
But then people without cars can get there, and they might be poor or even black.
