I don’t know if this one is considered insider trading. The bill was public record and we all knew how he was going to vote. I guess he could have known the result before the official vote, But at the same time anyone can look up party affiliations and vote history.

So people are just going to die right?

We’re going to have old people cut off from their health care, rural areas will have their hospitals closed, and people are going to die.

Why is the world such a sick place?

A few years feels optimistic. I’d wager on by the end of this year, at the rate everything is getting defunded.

I think people vastly underestimate the effectiveness of annual mitigation efforts by multiple agencies that have either already been cut or on the chopping block.

Many of these agencies go unnoticed because they work well, but will be immediately obvious once they’re gone.

Agreed but they’ll need out of this wave of fascism first.

I sincerely hope the whole world turns against the US-Russian axis of fascism. But y’all will have to do some doing to get there.

I sincerely hope this is the world’s last go around with fascism but I’m not so delusional as to think it the case. But I am delusional enough to think maybe someday it will be. Maybe someday we’ll win.

Some of the US aid and our previous acceptance of asylum seekers in my opinion was required because the US either caused or was complicit in tge reason such aid was needed. Especially in South America, with all the coups and school of the Americas etc.

So I am thinking the plan is to simply discard the weak/disabled starting with the old sick folks. The rich have no need for them, as they can provide nothing of monetary value to the rich. Why would they waste good money, time and effort keeping the weak alive. What I don’t understand is a blood thirsty vampire like Miller…he’s never going to be a billionaire, he’s just pushing his Nazi wet dream to simp, he’ll never be in their club.

PS forgot to add…the physically well of the 25,000,000 left after this cull get to live life in fudal times serving what is to become something akin to monarchy.

He got many non-budgetary provisions out from the Byrd rule, which is essentially enforcing the rules that allow the thin Republican majority to pass a budget.

But the Republican Senate also made up an accounting magic trick to pretend that a several trillion dollar budget line item has no effect on the deficit. And pretended that this is now a rule because 51 senators think this is a good idea.

Senate Democrats did virtually everything within the legislative process that they could on their own.

House Leader Jeffries did at least delay the vote for 8 hours, 44 minutes to talk about the bill, and bring it to the afternoon news cycle instead of at 4am.

That’s the house, and only because it was a bill passed back to the house, after previous passage, to review senate revisions. Otherwise they would have been allowed to debate much more if this was the first time the house had the bill.

It’s not just your imagination. Think back to the last 8 years and how much horseshit has come out that “wasn’t law” but was allowed. That same thinking and action could easily be applied by the opposition, but it turns out the opposition is a wet paper towel.

I’m not smart enough to steer this, but there has to be a group trying to put together a legitimate third party. Let’s talk about that. Anytime theres a fucking comical issue upfront, talk about that, and don’t relent.
