It always gets me where some streaming services have the Skip Intro within a second of when some episodes start and other episodes are like 8-15 seconds into it. I recently marathoned Stargate Atlantis and some skip intros still had like 13 second left in the intro
DS9 is the worst. The skip button shows up about 40 seconds in and still leaves the last 6 or 7.
Skipping ds9 intro? Straight to brig
I watch a lot of DS9 and it’s a 2 minute intro. Gotta make moves.
Those moves should be waving your finger around like you’re the damn conductor! Epic music.
You have to take the panoramic route around DS9. It’s the law.

When I watch in VLC and use the arrow buttons to skip through the intro, it plays one note for every button press and sounds like an arpeggio of the intro.
Speaking of which, anyone know a program to edit my media library?
There is a bunch of intros, recaps and so on that are not lines up correctly here and there.
I also cant seem to edit metadata, each time i reload my library the info is gone/reset.
Oh are you encoding it into the media files directly? I think Jellyfin and Plex both have their own metadata stores.
So far it’s been easier to memorize how many times to press skip ahead then to figure out why Jellyfin’s skip intro feature isnt working.
not gonna lie, some of those piracy websites have rather nice features like auto-skip the intro and outro and shit.
maybe the legal sites should get on that.
I love the “shuffle” feature. I just want to watch a Star Trek episode don’t make me pick. It’s baffling why the commercial services don’t add something like that.
That’s how I’ve been watching TNG, after trying to be very picky about structured watchthroughs.
i just wish we had some [advance/delay subtitles] setting for when the subtitles are fucky. that’s the one thing i haven’t seen anyone do.
Plex only offers it when you have it search online for subtitles.
